"Who Am I You Ask?!"

My photo

I love fashion and food and getting the beat deals and recipies on the two! When it comes to styling and shopping I don't discriminate. I mix and match the high end with the low end. I'll share my style, cosmetic secrets and recepies, and show you how to create "new" outfits and dishes weekly. While I love to shop, style and cook for family and friends, a girls gotta work. Currently I work in the public safety profession. Prior to public safety I was a radio personality for more than 10 years, which is where I became my most fashion forward self! I've styled for local videos and hair magazines. Whatever my "real" job," I've always been the stylist to friends, and even foes!

Happy New Year Yaaalllll!

Well it's been a minute!!! I have some new things that to share. My camera got busted, which meant no photos unless I used the grainy ones from the cell phone.  I received some nice things for my birthday and Christmas, and I'm happy to say that they all work well with treasure trove of a closet. Check out in the next day or so how I'm mixing my new and old favs!

Have a couple of new inexpensive make up favs that I've been using and can't wait to share with you!
Gotta keep it one hundred with the face and neck... I can't them "telling" on me! :)

Blessings and Cheers to a wonderful, healthy and prosperous New Year!!!

"Who's Afraid of Nancy Grace?!"

"Just Wondering?!"

Dear Proudcer's/Stylists (there's no way) of the Nancy Grace Show, PUH-LEEEEZ explain why Nancy Grace is branding herself as a Pilgrim on her new syndicated show??!

During the promotional period prior to the premiere of her new talk show, Nancy Grace was wearing a simple blouse with large collar and black vest like holding apparatus...WTHeck??!? Then I thought these are the promos and this wardrobe malady will cease. Oh noooooo!!! IT CONTINUES! Is Nancy wearing what we women sometimes call our "fat clothes?" Is the former prosecutor/bulldog doing some sort of covert social experiment? Why the same type of clothes.....there must be an answer. By the way, I think the former prosecutor/bulldog's  new show, and I do mean bulldog in the most confectionary, bless your heart,  affectionate way is GREAT!

Signature Style

Signature - sig·na·ture
A distinctive mark, characteristic, or sound indicating identity.

My three signature standouts...Coats, Cuffs and Boots! I love the ability to make a statement, subtle and otherwise with any of these items.

Cuffs

"GreenCuffz" Original :)

Most days you can find one, sometimes two of my wrists arrested by cuffs! Cuffs are  bracelets that fit closely around your wrist or upper arm, and in most cases don't have a clasp. I have the best cuff collection! Cuffs for work & cuffs for play. I've never spent more than $25 on my cuffs. Although I've desired some that cost soooo much more! Now I've started my very own "GreenCuffz" Collection. Really!  The "GreenCuffz" tm are made, recycled or re-created from various clothes, embellishments from shoes and or accessories.  I bought my first cuff from a yard sale in a chic beach neighborhood about 7 years ago. I've been "cuffing" ever since. Yes I used the word cuff as a verb! :) See the newest "GreenCuffz"

Outerwear/Coats
Coat given to me from a
co-worker who knew I love Vintage! Feel
like Foxy Brown!
Coats serve a practical and individual style trifecta: they keep you warm, dry and FLY!!! "Fly" would be the urban version of Paris Hilton's, "That's Hot!" My favorite style of outerwear is vintage, followed by leather. However I'm also prone to rock a classic Burburry poncho from a few seasons back. I've found my favorite coats in vintage or second hand clothing stores in large cities. Do yourself a favor. Anytime you travel to a major city be sure to do a Google search for these stores. They are treasure troves for one of a kind pieces that set your style apart.  Photos coming!

Boots
My boots send off smoke signals and bring the most attention of my three signature

styles. Boots can set off a look with jeans, dresses, shorts, or jumpers. I've tried them all. In the fall and winter, at least half my work week is heeled in boots. "BWS," Boots with Stilts are my weakness. I am able to do all things tall in my BWS, and say things like," I can reach that," or " "I CAN ride that ride!" If the Boots have a built in platform or outside platform, I must own them. Every year I buy one pair of semi expensive boots. The rest of the year I flow with trendier and less expensive styles. A must have pair of boots are classic black leather, with pointed toe. Worn with a pencil skirt, or jeans tucked inside, these boots will take you to work or weekend game. Photos on the way!

Fall Transitions-ATL&Suede

Summer is my favorite season, but it's time to get really serious about fall clothes. Transitioning can be especially challenging in the south where fall is also known as a warm spring. Today, although the photo doesn't tell the true story, I rocked an Ann Taylor Loft, straw colored eyelet like blouse, a chocolate brown suede skirt, and boots by Claudia Ciutti. The leather belt was an awesome find at Ambercrombie and Fitch. It was originally $45...I got it 3 weeks ago for $4! This is what I call a semi seasonal look. Great top, that's not a sweater, that can pass the texture and color test for fall, and blend well with a suede skirt. This Ann Taylor Loft blouse is one of the most functional pieces ever, since the color is a true neutral! My office backdrop may not have been the right setting to set off this outfit...it looked so awesome in person. Anywhoooooo!
